Make this! Bella Bodice with Shorts
Yes, I'm still on holidays but thought I'd take advantage of the rain. Lots of you have been messaging me about this little outfit on the cover of the Bella Bodice Pattern so below are details of what to use.
Pattern 1: The Top.
I have used the Bella Bodice here, the basic option in the cropped length.
Check out the pattern here. There's 6 style options and 2 lengths within each and comes in sizes 1-10 (all in the one pattern). It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or more advanced; there's options for everyone.
The fabric I've used it Jennifer Paganelli's Lucky Girl (Jill in pink).
Pattern 2: The Shorts.
I have used the Ava Jeans pattern here and then, for the measurements, I have followed the pattern hack that I wrote on the blog for converting the Girls Harem Pants (Little Miss Fancy Pants) into shorts. This length is the 'Play Shorts' length. Click here for the blog post.
If you don't already have it, you can check out the pattern here.
I've used Lucky Girl fabric again for the main part of the shorts For the waistband I have used Tanya Whelan Sunshine Rose Pink Gingham (it looks like I've cut the gingham on the bias). I also played around with the pockets but you'll have to wait for a later pattern for that little detail.
Yes, a bundle of both patterns is available at a nice little discount here.
So, again, happy sewing.
